How to build your website with WordPress

This guide shows you, step by step, how to install WordPress on your hosting and start building your site. WordPress powers most of the web, and installing it takes just a few clicks - no coding needed.

What you will need

  • An active Web Hosting plan with RodyWorks.
  • About 10 minutes.
  1. Open your control panel

Log in to your client area, open your Web Hosting service, and click Login to Control Panel. This opens cPanel - your website dashboard - in a new tab. No extra password needed.

  2. Find the WordPress installer

In cPanel, look for WordPress (often under a section called WordPress Toolkit, Softaculous Apps Installer, or Applications). Click it, then click Install.

Tip: Not sure where it is? Use the search box at the top of cPanel and type "WordPress".
  3. Fill in a few basics

The installer asks for a few simple things:

    • Website title - your site's name (you can change it later).
    • Admin username & password - how you will log in to edit your site. Write these down.
    • Your domain - pick your website address from the list.

Then click Install and wait a moment while it sets everything up.

  4. Log in and start building

When it finishes, you will get a link to your WordPress admin (it ends in /wp-admin). Log in with the username and password from Step 3, then pick a theme and start adding your pages. Your site is live at your domain.

That's it! You have a real website. From the WordPress dashboard you can change the look, add pages, and install free add-ons - all without touching code.
